We’re here to make the process of switching to solar easy.
Check out the simple steps below to learn how to switch to solar.
1. SITE INSPECTION
Our solar experts will contact you and arrange a suitable time to conduct a site visit at your property. This is an opportunity to meet face-to-face, provide advice and answer any questions you may have. Our solar expert has a checklist they will go through, which includes the type of roof, accessibility, shading issues, location of your switchboard, and so on.
Our representative will also need to take photos of your switchboard, so our electrician can determine if any modifications need to be made in accordance with the Australian and New Zealand Standards.
We will then design a system perfectly suited to your home, your budget and your family’s energy needs. Once designed, we will provide a quote for your approval. Before you accept your quote, we’re happy to assist by answering any questions you may have.
There’s no need to worry about rebates - we’ll factor these into your quote from the start. We will trade the Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) (the federal government rebate) on your behalf, which takes the worry away of you having to claim them. The price of the STCs will be deducted from your quote, reducing the price of your system.
In background, our team will be working away to organise all relevant approvals from energy retailer and provider. We’ll look after all of this for you - but just bear in mind that we will need to confirm the approvals before we can get to work.
Once you’ve accepted the quote, we will organise a day that suits you to complete the installation.
We will consult with you on the day if there are any changes to the placement of solar panels or the inverter due to safety or performance issues, to ensure you are happy with the end-result. While we’re there, we will connect your system to your WiFi network, so you can monitor your system performance.
We will then organise the ACT Government’s compulsory inspection of your solar system installation and meet the inspector at your property.
